BIM for Masdar

The impressively green building works occurring in Abu Dhabi will be awesome to see come to fruition. One such building is the Masdar Headquarters in the new Masdar City which will be the first positive-energy building of this type. The design led by architects from Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture (AS+GG) won the international competition with the impressive building set in, around and through a huge net of structural framed pillars and roofing.

There is a neat article on the use of BIM tools on the project on the Autodesk site, highlighting their use of Revit and related products.

I am keen to see the BIM (IFC and Revit) model of our FBE Building (The Red Centre) here at UNSW - they are still working on it, hopefully soon.
